Dr. Hollander’s practice interests have developed from a number of sources. During her training at the University of Michigan, she worked with physicians at the top of their fields and in so doing, learned about the diagnosis and management of both complicated and unusual medical conditions. This experience also introduced her to the value of the primary care model, in which a designated physician coordinates a patient’s care among specialists. She prefers the image of PCP (primary care physician) not as "gatekeeper" but rather as the integrator of care. By definition, an Internist deals with medical conditions and diseases throughout every system in the body, and the primary care physician’s role is in "looking at the whole picture" to give quality continuing healthcare.

She is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care to adults of all ages and enjoys the challenges of managing multiple diseases in the elderly. Her goal for all patients is to feel that their concerns have been heard by a physician who is interested not only in their healing process but also in them as individuals. The most rewarding part of her job is knowing her patients as people and building lasting relationships of trust and cooperation.
